REZA

As an American born Persian-Venezuelan/Paraguayan, Reza grew up throughout the US, Venezuela, and Malaysia. They made the journey from Malaysia to New York City in 2013. Reza has embraced their diverse background and infused it into their various mediums of art. With over 13 years performing internationally and 10 years of experience as a New York City-based freelance makeup artist, Reza has honed their skills in various domains, including: TV, Film, Fashion, Magazines, Red Carpet, Editorials, and more. Their artistry thrives on energy work, creating captivating looks that leave a lasting impression, making them a sought-after professional in the industry. Reza aims to deliver stunning transformations that capture the essence of every client's vision.

Reza began practicing makeup in high school, developing a passion that evolved into a multifaceted career. Alongside their artistry, Reza is an active movement artist and currently performs as a dancer with The Metropolitan Opera, with additional credits including Netflix, Art Basel, Park Avenue Armory and more. This multidisciplinary background informs a bold, storytelling-driven approach that merges technical mastery with movement, identity, and creative vision.

Reza received their B.A. in Dance Teaching at Marymount Manhattan College in 2016. Since graduating, they have acquired their Master Make-up Artistry certification from the Makeup Designory in New York, as well as their 200HR Yoga Teacher Training Certification with Bhakti Yogshala, and a 50HR Science of Self Yoga Teacher Training Practice. They currently freelance throughout New York, Miami, the UK and South East Asia.

Reza approaches their art and work with curiosity, mindfulness, and creativity. Their innovative use of products, approach to work, and clean impactful looks have brought them engaged clients and followers including V Magazine, Bleu Magazine, Grammarly, Mastercard, High Herstory, and more.
